If you love Instagram as much as we do then you must be excited to know that Instagram now allows businesses of all sizes to advertise through their interface. Additionally, Instagram has also announced that their ads will be available in more than 30 new countries and will be launching in markets worldwide on September 30.
Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, uses the same technology as Facebook ads, which essentially allow advertisers to target their message in the most effective way. With Facebook and Instagram’s ads infrastructure, it is very easy for advertisers to reach the exact audience they are targeting.
Similarly to Facebook, advertising on Instagram does not limit you to showing one photo; there are many other capabilities to help your company make the most of their ads:
Image ads: these model the typical images that are posted on Instagram. Using image ads, businesses can tell their story through imagery.
Video ads: videos can be up to 30 seconds long and offer the same visual quality as photo ads.
Carousel ads: these ads bring an additional layer of depth to image ads. People can swipe to see additional images and click on a call-to-action button to take them to a website and learn more about the product being advertised.
